Robbye Hemminger graduated from Hatboro-Horsham High Schoool, came home from college, bought her “farmette” and jumped into her passion for animals by boarding horses, giving riding lessons, and raising Siberian Huskies. Realizing that working with dogs was her primary love, she went to the New York School of Dog Grooming in Manhattan. After working in another grooming shop, she decided she needed to open her own salon so that she could guarantee that all the pets would be treated the way she wanted them to be, with love and gentleness. So started Robbye’s Gentle Groomers. Now, over 30 years, three sons and many pets later, the salon boasts 7 groomers, Doggie Day Camp and Boxwood Bed and Biscuit Inn, a small, personal care kennel.
